All Things Thrifty Home Accessories and Decor: Baby Shower Ideas ...

Every so often I get the chance to throw a baby shower for a good friend or family member, and over the past month I already got to throw one, and I?m helping throw another one this weekend!!! My good friend Suz {the one who I got the delicious Pork Taco recipe from and the friend who I helped paint the AMAZING yellow media cabinet} had a hard time getting preggers this time, so I just couldn?t help but throw her a baby shower with our fun Bunko group. For those that don't know what Bunko is, it is a game that you play with a group of girls. So, we did a ?shower? themed baby shower for bunko! It was an absolute blast! I get to throw Carrie {my amazing brother Court?s wife} a baby shower this weekend too! ?Court is awesome and if you are going to SNAP, he is speaking, so you should check out his SEO class!
As for Suz?s ?SHOWER? themed baby shower, here are the details?
We designed our own invitations on Photoshop?.they were inspired from these.?

And whipped out a fun ?baby? banner.? Of course I had to incorporate umbrellas into the banner. I used my trusty Sihouette machine to make it. I seriously use it all the time. I never thought it would get so much use, but I use it at least 4-5 times a month!??

Side note: I am loving my barn wood mantle that my cute hubby built for me. Isn?t it soo awesome!

Then I got flowers from trusty ?ol Walmart for the table. Aren?t they cute!?!? They were already dyed orange, green, and blue. I love mums {at least I think they are mums}. I?m not the smartest flower girl in the shed when it comes to being a floral encyclopedia. I got the plates from Target. I love their party section! They have the best paper plates and napkins by far!

I put orange poster board on the table with small polka dots {also cut out with my Silhouette}.

The flowers were an answer to my prayers I think. I needed something cute for the table, and the colors were perfect!

Next we made clouds for the straws {these were inspired from HERE}.

After the first go around, I decided that cutting slits into the clouds was a lot easier than cutting round holes. So, that?s what I did the second time I made these.

THEN, each person went home with some lemon drops in a cute chevron bag from party land. Get it? Lemon DROPS??? Thanks for DROPPING by like raindrops!?!?? Ha. I?m cheesy, but I love it.

We decorated with umbrellas {which were also the bunko prizes} and rain drops made from cutting hearts with my silhouette and folding them in half and gluing them to fish line.

Then I took some washi tape and made some fun labels for our water bottles. I used the print and cut feature on my Silhouette to make the cute umbrella circles.

Thank you to Jo {my BFF} for helping me with all of these crafting projects!
